Just finished a full homelab rename to a CP2077 naming theme. Renamed the FreeIPA server — not officially supported. Ended up doing a fresh install, re-enrolling every client, and chasing a kinit Generic error for hours (UID outside IPA ID range, KDC can’t generate a PAC/SID). Documented every gotcha.
